Yinka has recently taken on the role of Deputy Director for Digital Innovation Policy and Digital Mental Health in the Joint Digital Policy Unit, having been Director of Digital Workforce for NHS England, since September 2021, where she grew the Digital, Data and Technology workforce agenda. Yinka has a 30-year career history that combines Pharmacy, Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Entrepreneurship. She has worked across multiple organisations in the NHS and private sector in the UK and abroad. This includes Academic Health Science Networks, Accenture, CSC, GlaxoSmithKline, Singapore General Hospital, and more recently, NHSX and NHS England.

Previously she served as Head of Innovation at NHSX focussing on virtual care delivery during the Covid-19 pandemic, and as Programme Director at DigitalHealth.London, where she grew London’s position as a global commercial destination for digital health innovation, Prior to that Yinka founded and led the commercialisation of a tech start-up Vitalfootprint. She worked on NPFiT and spent 11 years as a front-line Pharmacist.

Yinka has been featured in the media including Guardian; National Health Executive; Tech City News and is a regular speaker at sector events. Yinka previously sat on the Smart London Board, the London Child Obesity Taskforce, and was a Trustee of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics.
