Hayley Grafton is a passionate digital nurse leader, currently fulfilling the position of Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) at The University Hospitals of Leicester to deliver an ambitious digital and new hospitals transformation programme. Hayley has over 20 years’ experience as a registered nurse, spending many of her bedside years in Intensive Care as a practice educator, before moving into the digital health space.

Prior to joining the team in Leicester, Hayley was the CNIO for the Royal Marsden NHSFT where she led the implementation of a Trust wide Electronic Patient Record (EPR) deployment. Hayley was also the Editor of the Royal Marsden Manual for Clinical Nursing Procedures, a renowned Nursing textbook. Hayley has completed a master’s degree in digital health leadership and is an elected panel member of the Digital Health Networks CNIO Advisory Panel, working with colleagues from across the Nation to provide steer on topical digital health issues and CNIO practice.
